The Use of Visualization - MMM S1E16
Jun 18, 2024Today I got surgery. Nothing fancy, I was in and out of the hospital in less than an hour, including picking up meds.
I didn’t know fully what to expect, but reading there were two forms of anesthesia, I imagined they would start with the gauze drenched in anesthetics and next the injections.
The doctor said I did great. It might have been because I walked through it beforehand and had decided it wouldn’t mean too much. And compared to having piercings set everything is a walk in the park, especially with anesthesia.
Visualizing helps
It proves once again the importance of how we visualize things beforehand, including being well informed.
I believe it makes a world of difference when we visualize things before they happen, especially those with unknown outcomes.
What to do?
Will that be easy to do? No. Will it make a difference? Yes, if only because it gives you peace of mind. Being more in tune with the (possible) outcome helps to figure out what to do next. The beauty is that we can keep on doing this again and again, until we are finally getting there.
Question:
What do you need to focus on? Let’s start describing in your mind/on paper what it looks like.
