How to keep direction amidst chaos

May 14, 2024

Change can come unexpected, showing up with the necessary chaos. Do you let it distract you or are you going for the opportunities that come with it?

This month is dedicated to change. I considered it a challenge, when we were suggested by brendon burchard during one of his trainings to take a closer look at change. The question was if we know how to deal with change and how to manage chaos. the idea was to study it, just not from up close and personal and that’s exactly what happened.

Once upon a time I was a therapist. I went to school for four years, added coaching and counseling to the mix and somewhere in there was also me giving people massages, as a sports masseuse. It was awesome while it lasted and it wasn’t when things went downhill.

At some point all that was left was change. I started guiding people locally and focusing on coaching online. I totally love coaching people, since it brings change to people’s lives for the better and I can even combine it with training and traveling. What more do I want?

Well I would like to get paid for services rendered and then there’s also a dream to work on (which is nice), related to coaching trips.

The last one takes some courage, but it’s going to be fun. The first bit has shaken up everything I thought I was going to do. Or at least so it seems. It links directly back to my past and everything I had thought I had left behind me. It also shows opportunities to learn some more about mental illnesses and even how to create my own trainings. The latter being interesting since I always wanted to teach and get recognition for it.

Now this is where change and chaos gets tricky. There is so much distraction going on, that focusing becomes really hard. I don’t want to be drawn back in the past. I want to move forward. The question is whether or not these circumstances can make me help do so. In order to know what’s next I need to wait and see, instead of running in each direction.

Conclusion: Let’s use time wisely, not by running after distractions, but by keeping the focus on the future, our plans and what makes truly sense.
